ENGINEERING SERVICES
As a full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm, we are a start-to-finish operation, funding to completion. We also showcase our ability to form one-on-one relationships with clients to provide them with specialized skills along with a personal touch. We also run all of the latest design software as required by LA DOTD and the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
Micro Station XM is the graphic engine for computer-aided design and the base program for engineering-specific modules.
InRoads XM is used for site work and road design, and is the latest coordinate geometry design software by Bentley.
InRoads Storm and Sanitary XM is the latest design software for subdivision subsurface drainage, and overland flow, as well as for sanitary sewer collection systems.
WaterCAD by Haestad Methods (now a part of Bentley) is used for water distribution network modeling and design for potable water flow and fire protection flow, or other pressure piping situations.
We also utilize a variety of stand-alone programs such as Hydraflow, WSPRO, HYDRWINT, and HYDRAIN for hydraulic reports and studies.
SERVICES
Water Treatment Systems –We have designed small package treatment plants for small municipalities and large treatment facilities for parish water systems. Treatment schemes range from simple chlorination to large 1,000-gpm pressure filters and superpulsator clarifiers
Water Distribution Systems –We have designed fire protection systems for municipalities and distribution networks for parish-wide water systems.
Water Supply –We have developed large-scale, 10-mile water transmission lines serving elevated tanks and have also designed numerous water wells to be used for potable water for several different municipalities and parish water districts.
Water Storage -We have designed ground storage facilities with constant pressure pump systems and elevated tanks of various sizes.
Wastewater Treatment Systems – We have been involved in the development and retrofit of numerous municipal treatment facilities including treatment system types ranging from aerated lagoons to mechanical plants.
Wastewater Collection Systems/Pump Stations -We have designed sewer collection systems for parish sewer districts and also for municipalities. We have also been involved in the rehabilitation of existing sewer collection lines by pipe bursting and the CIPP method.
NPDES Permitting –We have written permits for storm water, red water, sanitary wastewater discharges, and water quality certification.
U.S. Corps of Engineers PermittingWe have written permits on Section 10 and Section 404 permits for the Corps of Engineers.
Landfill Permitting, Design, Inspection, and Construction Staking –We have written and modified permits for Types I, II, and III landfills, as well as developed permitted drawings into construction drawings for initial landfill construction and landfill upgrades. We have also provided the construction staking survey work required for the landfill construction.
Building Site Design –We have worked with architectural firms designing building sites and parking for medical complexes and other commercial use buildings.
Utility Relocation - We have worked with municipalities to serve incoming industries with their utilities and in the relocation of utilities for highway construction.
Gas Distribution Systems –We have designed gas distribution systems, as well as the rehabilitation of gas systems for municipalities and rural gas distribution companies serving residential areas.
Street and Highway Construction/Reconstruction –We have worked with the LA DOTD in the expansion of an existing portion of Highway 84/65 to five lanes. We have also designed new roads and hard surfacing projects for municipalities and rural parish roads.
Bridge Design –We have worked with the LA DOTD Off-System Bridge Program for several years in many parishes throughout the state. We handle the surveying tasks, the design, and the hydraulic report for every project.
Subdivision Design –We have designed subdivisions from the ground up including lot size, topographic features, and general drainage. Utilities included in the design are gas, water, fire protection, and subsurface drainage. Other features include paved streets with sidewalks, curb and gutter, green or common areas, and traffic circles.
